Disinfection of Poultry Houses
The use of VIBREX in disinfection
of poultry houses is very effective in eliminating respiratory infections
in birds and in the prevention of these infections. VIBREX is effective
in eliminating New Castle , Avian Influenza , Aspergillosis and
other bird respiratory problems. The following is a protocol for
in the use of VIBREX in the control of pathogens in poultry houses.

APPLICATION PROGRAM:
Recommendations for using in washing surfaces in poultry houses
and poultry farm equipment.
- Prepare a stock solution of 100,000
ppm by mixing one part of VIBREX with 4 parts of water.
- Mix solution with washing water ,
such that it contains 50 ppm. Exmple: 100,000 / 50 = 2,000 liters
of washing water. apply to surfaces, floors and equipment with
pressure hose once a day.
- In poultry drinking water.
- Prepare same stock solution as above. Apply
in drinking water tank at 1 ppm . Example: 100,000 ppm / 1 = 100,000
liters of drinking water.
- Nebulization inside poultry house for pathogen control.
- Using same sotck solution . mix with
nebulizer water at 1,000 ppm . Example: 100,000 ppm / 1000 ppm
= 100 liters of nebulizer water.
- Apply nebulization inside poultry
house, 3 times per day until respiratory symptoms disappear. Continue
application once a day until the end of cycle.
- 1 kg. de VIBREX provide 500,000 `ppm
of transformed chlorine dioxide .
- Monitor microbicidal efficacy by
taking surface swabs on control points.
Measuring chlorine dioxide with orthotolidine.
Chlorine dioxide concentration is measured
with orthotolidine in the same way as chlorine concentration is
measured, except that what is measured in chlorine dioxide is its
the oxiding power. In the case of chlorine dioxide, when comparing
with the standard color chart, we start measuring between 30 to
90 seconds after orthotolidine application.
